Cancellation Policy

At bajarcart.com ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation Policy details when and how you can cancel your orders, in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, and applicable laws.
1. When Can You Cancel?
- You can cancel your order **only before it is picked or dispatched** from our dark store/warehouse.
- Once the order is dispatched (which happens quickly in our quick-commerce model), cancellation is generally not possible. This is because our delivery partners are already en route to ensure ultra-fast delivery.
- For scheduled deliveries (e.g., slotted time windows), cancellation is allowed up to 30 minutes before the slot starts, subject to our discretion.
2. How to Cancel an Order
- Through the App/Website: Go to **My Orders** → Select the order → Click **Cancel Order**.
- Via Customer Support: Call our helpline at [Your Customer Care Number] or email support@bajarcart.com (provide Order ID).
- Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible after placing the order.
3. Refund on Cancellation
- If your cancellation is approved:
- **Prepaid Orders**: Full refund will be processed to the original payment method (Credit/Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking, Wallet) within **3-10 working days**, depending on the payment gateway/bank.
- **Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders**: No charges apply since no payment was made. The order is simply cancelled.
- Partial cancellations (e.g., removing specific items from an order) may be allowed before dispatch at our discretion. Refunds for removed items will be processed accordingly.
- If the order value after partial cancellation falls below the free delivery threshold, delivery charges may apply.
4. Non-Cancellable Orders
- Orders containing perishable items (fruits, vegetables, dairy, etc.) that have been picked may not be cancellable to avoid food waste.
- Customized or special orders (if any) are non-cancellable.
- During peak hours, promotions, or high-demand periods, cancellations may be restricted.
5. Failed Cancellations
- If you attempt to cancel after dispatch, the order will proceed to delivery.
- If you refuse delivery, it will be treated as a return (subject to our Return Policy), and restocking/refund may not be guaranteed for perishable items. Additional charges (e.g., return delivery fee) may apply.
6. Force Majeure
We reserve the right to cancel orders due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., stock unavailability, weather issues, strikes, government restrictions). In such cases, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued if payment was made.
7. Abuse of Cancellation Policy
Frequent cancellations or misuse (e.g., placing and cancelling orders repeatedly) may lead to restrictions on your account, including temporary suspension of COD options or account blocking.
8. Grievance Redressal
If you face issues with cancellation:

- We will respond as per the timelines under the Consumer Protection Act.
9. Changes to Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted here. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
